Middletown Area High School is a small, suburban, public high school in Middletown, Pennsylvania. It is the only high school operated by Middletown Area School District. Middletown Area High School serves: the boroughs of Middletown and Royalton and Lower Swatara Township in Dauphin County. In 2013, enrollment was reported as 686 pupils in 9th through 12th grades, with 34.8% of pupils eligible for a federal free or reduced price lunch due to the family meeting the federal poverty level. Additionally, 16% of pupils received special education services, while 6.7% of pupils were identified as gifted.
